You have questions and we have answers. We know that planning your Boudoir or Erotic Experience can be overwhelming, maybe even a little intimidating, but always know we are here to help with every question and concern.
I want to book but I’m nervous. Is this normal?
Don’t worry. The majority of our clients start out nervous. It’s completely normal. We want you to know that you’ll be in great hands. We’re here to guide you through this entire experience from what to wear, to hair and makeup, and how to do all of those crazy poses. We’ll also walk you through your facial expressions and show you some of the images on the back of the camera as we go along. That way you’ll be able to see that all the crazy stuff we’re doing is working! This seems to make clients feel much more comfortable.

Is hair and makeup included?
Complimentary hair styling, makeup, and lashes are included for one in all of our Boudoir and Erotic Experiences!
Our transformation team creates camera-ready looks that range from girl-next-door natural to va-va-voom glam, and everything in between. If you have a specific look you like, or inspiration photos to share, please bring them with, or just let yourself relax and our team will do it all. We hand-pick makeup artists who can work with all skin types, ages and hair types. You will be working with some of the best in the local industry! Be prepared to be pampered, have your self-esteem boosted, and leave the studio feeling transformed inside and out!
We will ask that you arrive to the Studio with a clean, moisturized face and clean, dry hair so that we can get right to work. Let the transformation begin!
What is the Difference between Boudoir and Erotica?
An Erotic, Kink, or Fetish Experience will usually start out like a Boudoir Experience then end up in a very different place. We like to think of boudoir and erotica on a spectrum because there are no rules about what your Boudoir Experience or Erotic Experience must be. Everyone who comes into the studio has their own comfort level with nudity.
Many of our Boudoir Experiences involve no nudity at all and Erotic, Kink, and Fetish Experiences require extra planning.

What is the cost?
The complete 7-hour Boudoir Experience starts at $750 and Erotic Experiences start at $1500. Both include complimentary hair and makeup, access to our incredible client wardrobe, and a photoshoot with full posing assistance. They also include a private image reveal and ordering session where you can see all your images on the big screen and feel like a Hollywood movie star.
Digital images and printed art are purchased separately and are not included in the $750 Experience Fee. We offer several Collections (Digital and Creative) that combine our most popular products, as well as a La Carte options starting at $1800, so that we can customize your experience fully. On average, most clients spend between $3k and $6k, but what you spend is entirely up to you.
We go over pricing during the phone consultation. You have the option to purchase from our Creative Collection Menu or a la carte. Both menus will be sent to you after you complete your booking process. We can say this: if you are looking for a "quick shoot" or "just a few images," this is probably not the studio for you. Boudoir By J Anderson offers a luxurious, full-day Experience and will show you anywhere from 60-100+ final images that may be printed on hand-made art. It is definitely an investment, one that is worth its weight in gold. You'll never tire of looking at your images or forget how the Boudoir By J Anderson Experience made you feel.
We offer all clients interest-free, flexible payment plans to make any experience “budget friendly.” You can decide how much you want to put towards your products each month. This way when you come in for your photoshoot, it's all taken care of!
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! We offer custom pre-payment plans, called Boudie Banks! You deserve to put yourself first and show yourself some love by taking home a collection of YOUR images! So, celebrate yourself and get what you really want!
A Boudoir Experience with Boudoir By J Anderson is a luxury experience that every woman deserves. For that reason, we want your investment to be as stress free and manageable as possible.
There is an Experience fee due at booking, but everything else can be prepaid through your Boudie Bank. We also have examples of all of our products in the studio in case you want to add any upgrades during your Image Reveal and Ordering session.
What is the Boudie Bank?
The Boudie Bank is our pre-experience payment plan. It offers zero-percent interest, no fees, and no credit checks. It’s simply a way for our clients to get more bang for their buck and not have to worry about paying for products after their shoot. We have clients that book up to 18 months in advance because they want our largest collection and would prefer to make little monthly payments as they go along. This way they are paid in full come shoot day and have nothing to worry about. The Boudie Bank makes that possible. Did we mention you can earn free exclusive set bonuses, like the archangel wings set or rain shower set, just for paying for your Creative or Digital Collection ahead of time?
What type of products do you offer?
We offer a variety of Alluring Albums, Folio Boxes, and Luxurious Metal Wall Art. We also offer Creative Collections that feature our most popular products bundled and offered at a discount. The Enticement is our current client favorite because it not only includes a 10x10” Album, but also all of the digital images from your shoot, metal wall art, and a mobile phone app!
Do you offer digitals?
We sure do! This is your Experience and we offer a variety of options. We offer Digital Collections for clients only interested in digital images. Many of our Creative Collections include the corresponding digital files with your album, or you can add on matching digitals with any a la carte album. Best of all, digital files also include an exclusive personal print license.
What is Copyright?
Unless you are a content creator, photographer, or digital creator, you may have little reason to delve into what copyright actually means. The long and short of it is…Whoever presses the shutter to create an image owns the copyright of that image.
Boudoir By J Anderson / J Anderson Studios has the ownership of every image they take of their clients, regardless of whether these images are included in the final gallery or not. According to the US Copyright Law, the Copyright holder (our studio) is entitled to use these images. However, a professional photographer understands that sharing images without permission is both irresponsible and can be legally challenged. It can also be considered an invasion of privacy for the client.
The images you receive as part of your photography session are essentially a shared copyright. We allow you to own them and sometimes use them per the terms of the signed contract. We do not use your images unless you have given us permission in the form of a separately signed image release form.
As a client, it is important to note that any use of the image outside of our contracted agreement is prohibited. This includes selling the image to a third party, submitting it to a contest, allowing it to be used as a brand's poster child, or using it as a commercialized authoring photo on your book.
In some cases, you may want to have complete ownership of the Copyright for an image created by our Studio. This means that you will have unrestricted rights to use the image without giving us any credit for creating it. Once the Copyright trade is completed, we will no longer have any ownership or rights to that image. The cost of transferring the Copyright starts at $1500 per image.
How quickly will I receive my images?
Any digital products will be sent to you within 14 business days of your shoot through a private online gallery! Any physical products, such as an Album or Wall Art, will be mailed you your home within 6-8 weeks. Please schedule your Experience accordingly if you are planning for a special date.
Do I have to get naked?
Of course not!! Boudoir photography is not about naked photos. The majority of our clients do end up going partially or completely nude, even clients who did not necessarily plan to do so coming in, but that is up to you.
Before your Experience you will receive a questionnaire. We encourage clients to complete this questionnaire to give us some idea of their comfort level with different levels of undress and how much they want to be encouraged to step outside their comfort level.
Even lingerie is optional. There are so many different outfit ideas available. Many of our clients have specific outfits they bring to complement their desired theme. All clients also have access to our Client Closet to choose something that fits their personality, whether that is something lacy, something sheer, or something racy.
Do you share my images?
That is totally up to you! Maybe you are not ready to share your images with the world. Maybe you are only interested in sharing your images with a loved one. Maybe you work in a profession that requires an extra level of discretion. Whatever the reason, it is up to you to whether you want to share your images.
Boudoir photography is so incredibly intimate. Most of our clients have a story behind why they became interested in having a Boudoir Experience, and part of that story may include sharing their images as a demonstration of their self-love and empowerment. As you explore our website or our social media feeds you will see images from our clients. All of those clients have given us their permission to share their images.
We will discuss whether you want to share your images during your Image Reveal session and go over our model image release. We will only share the images you have approved.
I am not a model. Will I still look good?
It's ok, you will be after this! In all seriousness, not one person in any of our images is a paid model, they are normal men and women like you. Remember, it’s my job to take a great picture, not yours.
Do you photoshop my images?
Professional editing and Photoshop are included in our image pricing, but you are going to be amazed at how great you look with our “less is more” approach. All of the final purchased images will receive the custom BBJA edits that make our images POP! We can edit out things like pimples, bruises, scratches, undereye, skin texture or redness, etc. We can do some nip-tuck, but with our expert posing and lighting skills it is usually not necessary.
You are beautiful just the way you are, no matter your age or size and we want to emphasize your natural beauty. Posing is key, as is communication. We all have our self-perceived flaws, so let's work together to help you look and feel your best!
Do you have any before and after pics?
Yes! We often show our “Every Day to Slay” images in our private ladies VIP Group on FB. We also run contests with amazing prizes, share uplifting content, and play fun games. We’d love for you to join us! Get your invite by clicking HERE. You can also visit our gallery: “From Every Day to Slay.”
When will I get to see my photos?
Who likes to wait? While most photographers schedule their image reveals two weeks or more after their shoots, all of our image reveal, and ordering sessions occur the SAME DAY! That’s right! You’ll get to see your images, make sure you love them, choose your favorites, and order prints and products a little more than an hour after your shoot! What the means is that we will finish shooting around 1:00 PM, I'll send you out for lunch somewhere for about 90 minutes, and then when you come back everything will be ready for you! We will have your Image Reveal and Ordering Session at that time, and you get to pick out exactly what you want to take away from your Experience!
Do I need to bring my own outfits?
No, not unless you’d like to! We have an enormous client wardrobe for you to pick from which is fully stocked with sizes XS to 6X! We understand that lingerie shopping can be a little (or a lot) terrifying but trust us when we say we have tons of great options in the studio for EVERY body. Every experience includes 2 looks. We recommend having 3-4 outfits available for your shoot, but that can be a combination of pieces that you bring in or anything that we have in the Client Wardrobe - it's totally up to you! We do ask that EVERYONE brings a nude thong or black thong to wear under our garments as a bare minimum (ha - see what I did there?). Some optional items we love to photograph that you can bring are thigh highs, fishnet stockings, and clothing options like sweaters, t-shirts, etc. Shoes and jewelry are also a great way to add some personality to your session, so we always love when people bring those too!! Aside from that, feel free to bring anything you want! We will sort through it once you arrive on the day of your experience!
Should I go tanning?
Please, NO SPRAY TANS 4-6 weeks before your experience!! It stains our white bedding and carpets, and it does not photograph well. We also discourage the use of tanning beds 2-3 weeks prior to your experience.
I have no idea how to pose. Will you tell me what to do?
Absolutely! In fact, we’ll even show you. We demonstrate each pose for our clients, so you should be thoroughly entertained. You’ll see us do things like roll around on the floor and hang off the couch. We even go over what to do with your face, hands, and feet. We will coach you through the entire shoot.
Can I bring a friend?
In theory this sounds like it would be fun, but we find that sometimes when there is an audience, our clients hold back. We really want you to let loose, have fun, and enjoy this time and not worry about entertaining your guest. We promise you that our team is the best around and you will feel so comfortable in our space! We believe this time is for you to be pampered and focus on YOU with no distractions! If you need special assistance or a support person, please let us know ahead of time so we can make the necessary accommodations.
Where are you located?
Our main studio is located in Mesa, AZ. We may offer limited touring dates throughout the year.
How far in advance should I book my experience?
Most clients book 4-6 months in advance, but some book the following week. It all depends on how soon you’d like to come in and what we have available. If we are accommodating a special date such as a birthday or anniversary, please keep in mind that it can take up to eight weeks for printed orders to arrive, so please schedule accordingly. We can book as far out as 18 months.
